Mavic Carbon Wheels

This is one of the most popular and versatile carbon clincher wheels from Mavic, with aerodynamic design clearly at its core with a 52 mm deep rim. It's also equipped with bladed aero spokes with integrated nipples and a 16/20 front to rear split.

The cosmic Carbone SL wheel uses an elliptical carbon flange bonded to an alloy Maxtal outer rim, resulting in a wheelset weight of 1740 g. It uses aluminium hubs.

The Carbone SL is also available with a Powertap SL 2.4 hub for the rear wheel which includes wireless transmission.

This clincher wheelset offers a significant weight saving over the SL at 1600g, as a result of a collection of lighter components in the design. The 52 mm rims feature an optimised alloy /carbon flange design with milled braking surfaces to improve friction and smoothness.

This wheel is built on an aluminium hub with profiled caps and with lightweight integrated carbon aero spokes, helping to make the cosmic Carbone SLR one of the wheels of choice for top competition in road racing, triathlons and time trials.

These are extremely light wheels at 1185 g, as a result of using a full carbon rim at a depth of 40mm, making the Carbone Ultimate wheels suitable to top-level racing competition.

Carbon is also used for the hub body flanges and the spokes, which have an elliptical aero profile.

The design also features symmetrical rear rim and aero shaped front hub. It's Aero performance is also enhanced as a result of eliminating spoke nipples, heads and hub slots, giving a fast, light and stiff racing wheel. It requires a tubular tyre.
